Last week, an awesome petit reception for some recent art work I have done took place at Think Coffee on Bleecker. Lots of great friends showed up, I raffled one of my wearable art pieces and I manage to raise $100 which I donated to the ASPCA. All in all it was a great night. Here are some pics from the event.

It's been a very long time since I last posted on this website and lots has happened since. Now that I have more time in my hands I will post reguarly with updates of my work as well as adding odds and bits I find interesting or otherwise inspiring. With this in mind, here is sneak peak at a calendar for 2012 I am working on at the moment. ^_^

I was asked to write a short description about me and my Drawings + Coffee Series for a group show happening this month at Think Coffee in NYC, Thanks Sarah!

Here it is:

1. why coffee? thanks to my grandmother since the young age of 7 I became addicted to it and have never stopped drinking it since.

2. I am fascinated by the idea of combining opposites: tension (the string) + calmness (the pencil drawing) in the same piece of paper.

3. In our lives there is always some kind of addiction we have: mine is coffee. For me to use coffee as the medium for the ground on which I work with is a statement on living somewhere between these two forces or moving from one extreme to the other.

4. I seek to draw women as beautiful and/or fashionable because the idea of what is beauty today and why we are attracted to it is important to me as another tool for my work.

5. Do you want a cup of coffee? Yes please, with 3 tsp of sugar.
